Samsung’s revamped Galaxy Fold could be around the corner, after images of a man ‘testing’ the foldable handset on a train leaked online.

The news comes after Samsung cancelled the Galaxy Fold’s launch earlier this year, following a slew of problems from early reviewers.

Despite asserting the redesigned device would release “soon”, Samsung has remained tight lipped on an official date, with many overseas retailers refunding pre-orders over perennial delays.

An image submitted to SamMobile, reflects what some commentators speculate is a Samsung employee testing the Galaxy Fold on the metro in New Delhi, India.

It’s among the first times the newly-designed Galaxy Fold has been spotted in the wild.

Samsung mobile chief, DJ Koh, claims the foldable device is under ongoing testing of over 2,000 units – adding it was “released before it was ready.”

The Galaxy Fold’s seeming appearance in India has increased speculation the device will launch in more markets at the same time.
