Nintendo has announced a wireless NES controller for its Switch console to support 20 of its older titles once they become available as part of a new online subscription service, due for launch on September 19 in Australia.

The subscription service, which the company announced earlier this week, gives users a free seven-day trial before committing to a subscription. Some of the games, which users will need to play online, include Splatoon 2Arms, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, while Nintendo has said that it plans to make regular updates.

Subscribers will also get access to another 20 online-enabled NES games such as Super Mario Bros. 3 and The Legend of Zelda

This new retro-looking controller  has a US RRP of $59.99 for a bundle of two and will be available for purchase once Nintendo Switch Online goes live on September 19.

No announcement has been made regarding Australian pricing as yet.
