Chinese-manufacturer, Oppo, is set to launch a high-end phone, featuring edge-to-edge display and AI (artificial intelligence) camera functions later this month.

The device will also boast a FullHD+ resolution display  (2160×1080)  which incorporates nearly no side bezels.

The premium device will be the latest model in its F-series – the Oppo F5.

Camera features are clearly a focal point of the smartphone – the F5’s camera will feature an AI-selfie mode which reportedly will scan more than 200 facial recognition points to offer the best overall image. The more ‘selfies’ an individual takes, the more refined the AI-mode gets.

Oppo’s F5 will initially debut in Asian countries such as India, Indonesia and Malaysia. Though consensus is it’s likely it will land on Australian shores too, given the prior success of its F-series thus far.
