Oppo and Realme smartphones which are manufactured by Chinese Company BBK are set to be in short supply after their factory in India was shut down.

This factory which has been affected by the COVID-10 epidemic has been used in the past to supply the Australian market.

In India nationals are turning off Oppo and Realme phones for the simple reason that they are made by a Chinese Company and China is seen as a threat

Oppo had to close its smartphone factory in India then in early May, it resumed production however within a few days, more positive cases of COVID-19 were discovered among workers forcing the Government to close the fac tory down.

Oppo is the contract manufacturer for OnePlus and Realme smartphones with some Realme products sold in Australia coming from this factory. ChannelNews discovered that the devices did not comply with Australian specifications.

All the devices are assembled in the now-closed Oppo factory.
