Oppo have refined their Australian range, adding the A57 to their product range.

Billed as a replacement for their previous F1, the A57 packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage.

Design-wise, it looks pretty in-line with the company’s previous efforts. It’s got a fingerprint sensor which neatly separates it from the rest of the budget crowd – even if the relative or overall importance of that inclusion might vary from person to person.

Like all of Oppo’s current handsets, it runs on Android 6.0 and ColorOS – making it a good transfer point for those looking to jump from iOS to Android.

Finally, camera-wise, it’s got a 13-megapixel rear shooter with a f/2.2 sensor and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

In terms of the positioning here, the A57 doesn’t exactly look like the best Oppo have to offer but it does look like a good starting point for those new to the brand.

The Oppo A57 is available now through JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks at an RRP of $328.
