Optus has hinted at a late September launch for its 5G mobile network as it announces its plans for the Samsung Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G.

The company has been testing and rolling out a 5G home broadband offering but is yet to offer 5G mobile phones.

Optus has now revealed it will be offering the Note 10+ and Note 10+ 5G, but so far has not released details about the entry level Note 10.

Pre-orders have opened for the non-5G model with the company saying those orders will ship on August 23, but the 5G model is not due to ship until September 20.

The 5G model will come at a $240 premium over the life of the plan but also has 512GB storage compared to the non-5G’s 256GB capacity.

The Note 10+ will start at $105 per month ($45 plan with a $60 device fee, min cost $2520 over 24 months) and the Note 10+ 5G from $115 per month ($45 plan, $70 device fee, min $2760 over 24 months).

The $45 plan only includes 4GB data.

Customers who pre-order the new Samsung Note 10 models will also receive AKG’s new noise cancelling headphones, which normally retail at $499.

Optus is also expected to offer the Oppo Reno 5G once its network goes online.
