Optus has inked an exclusive deal with Apple Music, offering customers free access for up to 12 months on selected plans.

The trial offer will be available to new and re-contracting Optus customers, who purchase and remain on various post-paid mobile plans.

The news comes as Optus continues to ramp up its content arsenal, joining its stable of sports streaming coverage.

“The Apple Music exclusive offer is available on selected great value Optus plans priced for all budgets,” claims Optus VP, TV, Content & Product Development, Clive Dickens.

“Our plans offer fast speeds on Optus’ premium network and incredible data inclusions – with selected plans offering up to 200GB of data for customers who love to stream and download on-the-go.”

The deal will offer customers access to over 50 million songs, combined with their existing iTunes library – to stream or download for offline listening completely ad-free.

Apple Music also includes ‘Beats 1′ – a global livestream of music, with shows hosted from several well-known artists (e.g. Drake, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean).
