Samsung Display has adjusted it shipment target for notebook OLED panels this year.

The new target of between 5.5 million to six million dwarfs the company’s previous aim to ship four million units.

As with many manufacturing adjustments, the pandemic has been the cause, with a higher-than-expected demand for laptops during this period.

Samsung Display is now planning to supply Asis with 1.5 million units of OLED panels, a million to Samsung Electronics, 500,000-600,000 to HP, and between 400,000 and 500,000 a piece to Dell, Lenovo and Xiaomi.
