Samsung began rolling out the Android Oreo update for its flagship Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus last week but reports say the company has stopped it altogether with no motive behind the move.

Sam Mobile reports the G950/G955-FXXU1CRAP firmware files are unavailable for download on Samsung’s servers. Those who have already downloaded the Oreo update on their devices will be affected in any way.

The Oreo update was released in  Turkey, Norway, the UAE, India, Belgium, Germany, France, Poland, Ausdroid reports.

Samsung is currently working on a replacement Oreo update for the S8 and S8 Plus.

The update has no been released in Australia, watch this space for when it does come down under.
