The company today announced it’ll be holding a press conference ahead of IFA on the 1st of September.

It’s expected that whatever they do debut at the conference will be showed over the following week at IFA.

Many predict the company’s next high-end Xperia X smartphone will be at the centre of the conference.

Previous leaks have suggested the device will feature a rectangular metal design, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and tout a dual-LED flash function. 

Sony’s last set of Xperia devices were revealed at the World Mobile Congress in February and came to market several months later.

Expect more news to roll out closer to IFA, which will take place from the 2nd to 9th of September.
