With ransomware attacks dominating the headlines, it seems there’s no better time to consolidate the cyber-security industry.

Symantec is continuing to do just that by acquiring Israeli cybersecurity start-up Fireglass. Symantec said the deal would boost its products which protect corporate e-mail and Web browsing from threats.

The US company is paying an undisclosed sum for the Tel Aviv-based outfit which has about 40 employees.
