Tile’s Tile Slim and Tile Mate Bluetooth trackers, designed to help users keep track of their possessions, are launching in the Australian market.

Paired with a companion app (for both Android and iOS), the trackers can help users locate lost items.

The Tile Slim is “as thin as two credit cards”, suitable for wallets, purses, laptops and tile1items with a slim profile, while the Tile Mate, designed with a hole, attaches to items such as keys, luggage and purses.

Via a smartphone or tablet, users can open the app, ringing any item in Bluetooth range or viewing its last known location on a map, with the trackers also working in reverse, providing users the ability to ring their smartphone, even when on silent.

The Community Find feature, meanwhile, allows users to anonymously enlist the help of the entire Tile community in searching for an item, meaning that anyonetile2 running the app can anonymously update the location of a Tile anywhere in the world.

The battery life for both trackers is designed to last for one year.

The Tile Slim is available at JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman nationally, with the Tile Mate to be available from JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman from October 17.

The Tile Slim is priced at single $44.95 RRP or four-pack $139.95 RRP, and the Tile Mate single $39.95 RRP or four-pack $119.95 RRP.
