Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is crowdfunding a 145-gram PC that literally fits into a pocket.

The Ningmei Rubik’s Cube Mini – which has at time of writing raised 2,994,173.83 yuan ($621,838.45 AUD), or almost 250 per cent of its original goal on Chinese crowdfunding site YouPin – measures in at 62 x 62 x 42mm, roughly the same size as its namesake.

The device is powered by an Intel Celeron J4125 processor, with a small cooling fan. It comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, can hold a small SSD, is wi-fi and Bluetooth compatible, and has a number of external interfaces: 4K HDMI out, USB-C, two USB 3.0 ports, a microSD slot, and 3.5mm audio.

The base model, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB SSD, costs 999 yuan ($206.84 AUD), while the upgraded version with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD costs 1249 yuan ($258.97 AUD). A version of the upgraded model with a Marvel’s Iron Man theme is also available for 1349 yuan ($279.66 AUD).

The Ningmei Rubik’s Cube Mini is expected to ship before November 28.
