Despite initially being billed as a Telstra exclusive, recent reports reveal Vodafone has also snared distribution of Samsung’s new 4G LTE Galaxy Watch.

Whilst consumers can purchase the Bluetooth Galaxy Watch from retailers such as JB Hi-Fi and Kogan.com, the 4G LTE version is currently restricted to Samsung direct, Telstra and now Vodafone.

As previously reported, consumers are fixed to the Telstra network if purchased from Samsung direct, reflecting a partnership struck between the two companies.

Consumers can purchase the smartwatch either outright from Vodafone, as part of contract plan, or bundled via Vodafone NumberSync.

Vodafone claims ‘NumberSync’ (i.e. e-sim functionality) will be available “in time for Christmas”.

Despite being the first in Samsung’s new ‘Galaxy Watch’ range, the watches run on Tizen OS.
