Microsoft will require its employees to be vaccinated against the coronavirus before they return to their offices. The software company will also seek proof of vaccination for vendors and guests visiting the campus.

The move comes a week after US government agencies and other technology companies said they will require vaccinations for workers, as the delta variant of the virus becomes more common in the USA.

Microsoft said its US facilities will have a full reopening, commencing at the beginning of October, postponing the SaaS giant’s original plans to open in September.

Microsoft Australia said there was no decision yet on vaccinations for office staff here, but it is monitoring the health advice in light of the current lockdowns and restrictions.
