With the company already slated to reveal its next generation hardware on the 26th, Microsoft has confirmed a follow-up media event to take place in Manhattan on the 2nd of November.

Reports say CEO Satya Nadella and Office CVP Kirk Koenigsbauer will be on board to reveal what the company has in store on the software front.

There’s also talk of as-of-yet unknown “special guests” expected to appear at the event.

Given the improvements that Google have made to Google Drive over the last year, it’s expected that Microsoft will put Office365 front and centre.

A number of business-focused software announcements are also expected.

Expect more information in the lead-up to the two media conferences.
