Following its official launch in November last year, Amazon Australia has reportedly parted ways with its PR agency, Weber Shandwick.

As reported by ChannelNews the e-commerce giant first pitched its creative PR account around July last year.

In November 2017, speculation mounted IPG Mediabrands was setting up an independent entity, after picking up the global media planning and buying account for Amazon.

Uber’s former Head of Communication, Katie Curran, was appointed Amazon’s Head of Communications in December.

As previously reported, former Samsung Chief Marketing Officer, Arno Lenior, was also brought on-board in December as Amazon Australia’s Marketing Director.

ChannelNews has approached Amazon for a comment.
