Apple’s next new model of its iPhone range – expected to be dubbed the iPhone 7 – is being tipped in some quarters to make its debut in September, according to a number of US reports.

Market watchers say September releases are common with Apple, culminating in the iPhone 6S on September last year. Many reports are now suggesting a September 7 release this year in the US for the iPhone 7.

Some observers suggest the “7” will feature a radical redesign, which Apple badly needs, following disappointing sales for the current range.

Web site Mac Otakara has a picture that allegedly shows off a plus-sized model with a protruding camera lens on its backside.
