Early reports have tipped Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 8 to be the company’s most expensive device yet.

According to infamous tech leaker Evan Blass, the device will be launched at a bumper €999 price point in Europe.

Assuming an equivalent increase is in order for the Australian market, the Note 8 should arrive with an RRP of approximately $1500.

This would make it not only Samsung’s most expensive effort yet but one of the most expensive offerings on the market.

In comparison, the Note 7 launched with a local price of $1349 and the Galaxy S8 launched with a local price of $1199.

As previously tipped, the latest entry in Samsung’s premiere line of phablet smartphones will come with a dual-lens camera, infinity display and Snapdragon 836 processor.

Expect more info when the Note 8 gets a proper reveal, potentially in August.
