Recent reports suggest Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 9 will unveil August 9th, with global release expected by month’s end. Despite a ‘last minute’ design change, the Note 9 will launch around two weeks earlier than last year’s Note 8.

The Note 9’s earlier launch is forecast to provide extra head way against Apple’s new phone/s launch.

Last year in some regions, the Note 8 went on sale after Apple’s iPhone 8 and X announcement, which was said to impair rival replacement demand.

Some commentators has expected Samsung to release the Note 9 in late July, however, a ‘last minute’ design change reportedly pushed launch later.

According to Bloomberg, the new Galaxy Note 9 will feature an upgraded camera – similarly to the S9’s dual-aperture setup – running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 in some regions.
