The full version of the Google update that will fix the Chromecast Wi-Fi connectivity issue is now available, with the beta being released to those who opt in only a couple of weeks ago.

A number of Android users were finding when they connected their phone to Chromecast they would experience Wi-Fi connectivity issues.

These issues have been ongoing for weeks with users making note of the problem on the Google Product Forums and forums of router companies including Linksys Netgear, Tp-Link and Synology.

Android Police points out this update could also contain a fix for the Nexus Player remote  sleep issue, where the remote would go to sleep after 5-10 minutes of being used then users would try to wake it and it may or may not connect.

The update is available on the Google Play store.
