Apple will not be releasing a low end version of its iPhone, the iPhone SE 2 for 2018 as the tech company wants to focus on its upcoming 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch models.

The news has been confirmed by iPhone case maker Olixar who is known to be accurate over upcoming device releases.

Earlier this year, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made a note that Apple does not ‘have enough resources available for development’.

The newer SE was rumoured to have a larger 4.2 inch screen looking like a mini iPhone X and iOS 11.

Apple is reportedly releasing three devices this year, a 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch models with OLED displays and a 6.1-inch model with an LCD display.
