Despite lots of media criticism, revenue numbers for Apple’s new MacBook Pro are sky high, according to Slice Intelligence. The 2016 MacBook Pro starts at US$1499 for the non-Touch Bar 13-inch model and $2399 for the Touch Bar 15-inch model.

“In the first five days of availability, US online shoppers spent more on the new MacBook than any other laptop in 2016. It is safe to say that this launch has been a pretty big success for the folks in Cupertino,” Slice said in a press release on Tuesday.

New purchase data from Slice Intelligence show that the new MacBook Pro sales online generated seven times the revenue the 12-inch MacBook received during its launch in April 2015.
