Samsung will be debuting its Galaxy Note 9 on August 9 at its Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, confirming Bloomberg’s rumours alluding to an early August date.

The Korean company announced via a post saying, “Samsung Electronics will welcome a new member to the premium Galaxy family.”

With the confirmation of the date comes a short clip showing angles of a device in a gold hue.

The new phone is expected to have a 6.38-inch display, slightly bigger than the current model’s 6.32-inches. It is also rumoured to have a in-screen fingerprint scanners but some commentators say that feature won’t be ready in time.
