Wearable voice recorder Senstone is set to go into production after raising approximately $150,000 on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.
An oblique black gadget, it promises to make the process of recording voice notes and transcribe conversations more elegant.
As put by the creators of the wearable, “Senstone is a new way to create notes — five times faster and much more convenient than any smartphone app. With Senstone you no longer have to pull out your phone to take notes on the go. Just capture the things in your daily life that you don’t want to miss. It automatically converts your voice notes into text and organises them for easy access.”
It only takes a single tap to start and stop recordings, and then all recordings (and their transcriptions) are synchronized through your phone to a Cloud-based backup.
However, potentially the most important feature here is the AI-driven transcription software. They say the Senstone will be able to dicate in English, Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian. What’s more it will learn from your notes.
“We bring a new level of intelligence to your voice notes. The moment you start a recording, it’s stored on your smartphone and backed up in Cloud, even if your app is in background. The Cloud software platform converts voice memos into text, extracts keywords, to-dos and analyses your speech patterns,” the company behind the product says.
It’ll even integrate with other applications like Evernote and Google Drive.
Able to be worn in a number of different combinations (wrist, collar, neck), the Senstone will roll out to backers from October 2017 and retail for $135 US.
