Ever since rival Sony made their big push for their Playstation 4 Pro last year, Microsoft’s Xbox division have remained silent on what their next major console release would entail. That silence looks set to end this week with Microsoft confirming that it’ll be revealing the specs of the new gaming hardware later this week, via online sites Digital Foundry and EuroGamer.
This spec-focused reveal comes ahead of a more-wholesome showcase expected at this year’s E3.
To clear up the speculation: @digitalfoundry will have an exclusive Xbox Scorpio reveal on @eurogamer this Thursday at 2pm UK / 6am Pacific. pic.twitter.com/bacxOGerjJ

Previous reports say the long-rumored “Project Scorpio” will leverage 12GBs of GDDR5 RAM and 6 teraflops of graphics processing power. Putting it well ahead of Sony’s Playstation 4 Pro and primed to deliver 4K gaming to a wider audience.
More to come.
